Cloud Migration
Move your applications to AWS, GCP, Azure, or Vercel — faster, cheaper, and more reliable than on-prem. We handle the lift-and-shift or re-architecture, including security review and cost optimization.
On-premise or colo
- Aging servers, vendor contracts, and a rack in a closet
- Scaling means buying hardware and waiting six weeks
- Disaster recovery is a tape backup and a prayer
- Security patching is someone's part-time responsibility
On modern cloud
- Infrastructure defined as code, reproducible and auditable
- Autoscaling handles traffic spikes without a PO or phone call
- Multi-region backups, point-in-time restore, documented DR runbook
- Managed services handle patching, OS updates, and base security
How We Build It
Assessment
We catalog every application, database, and dependency. We identify what can lift-and-shift, what needs re-platforming, and what should be retired.
Target Design
We pick the right cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, or Vercel) and design the target topology — VPCs, subnets, IAM, and service choices — as code.
Staged Migration
We move in waves: non-critical workloads first, core systems last. Each wave validates assumptions before the next one starts.
Testing & DR Drills
Full functional tests in the cloud environment, plus disaster recovery drills to prove the backup and failover paths actually work.
Optimization & Handoff
After stabilization, we run a cost optimization pass — reserved instances, right-sizing, unused resources — and hand off with docs.
What You Get
- Applications running in the target cloud environment
- Infrastructure defined as code (Terraform or Pulumi)
- CI/CD pipeline deploying from your Git repo
- Monitoring, logging, and alerting set up on cloud-native tooling
- Disaster recovery runbook with tested failover procedure
- Cost optimization report and ongoing recommendations
Frequently Asked Questions
Which cloud should we pick — AWS, GCP, Azure, or Vercel?
Depends on your stack and team. AWS has the widest service catalog; GCP is strong for data and ML; Azure for Microsoft-heavy environments; Vercel for Next.js and web-first teams. We'll recommend the best fit in the assessment phase.
How do we avoid surprise cloud bills?
Cost estimation before migration, budget alerts during, and a post-migration optimization pass after stabilization (reserved instances, right-sizing, removing unused resources). Typical savings are 20 to 40 percent on the first optimization.
What about our data during transit?
Encrypted in transit and at rest throughout the migration. Compliance frameworks (PIPEDA, HIPAA, PCI) are accounted for in the architecture design phase. We don't skimp on this.
Can you handle hybrid or only full-cloud?
Both. Many clients keep certain workloads on-prem for compliance or latency reasons — we set up secure connectivity (VPN or direct connect) so the hybrid works cleanly.
